Animal Feed
Production Line
RICHI Animal Feed Production Line
The line efficiently processes various raw materials such as grains, forage, and minerals, and supports multiple animal feed formulas. Each type of feed production line can be designed as a standalone system or integrated to produce different feed varieties.

Poultry Feed Production Line
Designed for chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, etc. Main raw materials: corn, wheat, soybeans. Finished particle diameter: 1.5-5 mm. Features fine grinding and high-temperature conditioning.

Livestock Feed Production Line
Suitable for pigs, cattle, and sheep. Raw materials mainly include corn, soybeans, bran, and additives. Finished particle diameter: 4-12 mm. Conditioning is uniform as a priority.

Ruminant Feed Production Line
Applicable to dairy cows, beef cattle, goats, sheep, etc. Raw materials: grains and forage. Particle diameter: 6-12 mm (larger pellets to help rumination).

Pet Feed Production Line
Designed for cats, dogs, rabbits, hamsters, birds, etc. Raw materials: grains and alfalfa. Particle diameter: 1-8 mm. Equipped with an automatic cleaning device to ensure hygienic and safe feed.
The Complete Production Process of Animal Feed
Raw material transportation and cleaning
Move raw materials to the line and remove impurities.
Key equipment: conveyor, cylindrical primary cleaner, permanent magnetic cylinder
Raw material crushing
Crush grains, straw, and other materials to the right fineness.
Key equipment: hammer mill
Mixing and blending
Mix raw materials according to the formula weight.
Key equipment: automatic batching system, mixer
Conditioning and pelletizing
Steam matures and gelatinizes the raw materials, then they are extruded and cut into pellets.
Key equipment: single-layer/multi-layer conditioner, ring die pellet mill
Pellet cooling
Reduce the temperature and moisture of the finished pellets.
Key equipment: counter-flow cooler
Finished product screening
Screen the pellets; qualified ones go to packaging.
Key equipment: rotary classifier
Weighing and packaging
Pack and seal the final feed pellets.
Key equipment: automatic quantitative packaging scale, conveyor, heat sealer
Animal Feed Production Line Projects

Frequently Asked Questions
Before you start your animal feed production line, here are a few things you might be concerned about.
What raw materials can the line process?
Grains, wheat bran, rice bran, protein sources like soybean meal and fish meal, roughage and straw, additives and minerals. The line also supports unconventional raw materials such as oilseed meals and brewer’s grains. For specific formulas and optimization, please ask our process team.
I have never built a feed plant. How do I decide the capacity I need?
Calculate the monthly feed consumption of the farms you plan to supply, then divide by the number of working days per month. Or just contact our engineers, we can help you make a capacity budget.
How customizable is your production line?
You can customize capacity, raw material formulas, feed types, particle sizes, and more.
How can the same line switch between producing cattle feed, sheep feed, and chicken feed?
You can switch a single line by adjusting the formula, replacing the ring die, and tweaking the conditioning system. If you plan to change production in the future, we can design the line with expansion interfaces for easy changes.
How long does installation take?
Installation takes 15 to 40 days, depending on the line size and completeness. We provide on-site installation, commissioning, and training.
How long can your equipment last? Can I get spare parts easily?
The equipment typically lasts 10 to 15 years with proper maintenance. We have a global logistics network, so you can quickly obtain replacement parts when needed.
