RICHI Cow
Dung Pellet Mill
Since its establishment in 1995, RICHI has focused on feed machinery for 31 years, committed to achieving maximum long-term value with the lowest operating costs.

Product Introduction
Addressing the characteristics of cattle manure—specifically its long fibers and loose texture—the cow dung pelletizer employs a process combining low-compression-ratio ring-die pelletizing with low-temperature, prolonged drying. This approach effectively preserves organic matter and fibrous content while enhancing pellet disintegration properties, ultimately achieving a pellet formation rate of up to 98%.
Suitable for dairy farms, beef cattle farms, and organic fertilizer production enterprises.

Low-temperature process
We maintain the maximum temperature within a microorganism‑tolerable range across the entire production line from granulation to cooling, and keep the drying air temperature relatively low to effectively reduce organic matter loss.
This enables the functional microorganisms inoculated during the cattle manure fermentation process to continue reproducing after entering the soil, thereby performing functions such as nitrogen fixation, phosphorus solubilization, and growth promotion.
Exceptional Granule Quality
By employing a low-compression-ratio ring die, the degree to which the crude fiber in cattle manure is damaged is minimized; this facilitates the infiltration of moisture into the inter-fiber gaps within the pellets, allowing them to disintegrate naturally and release their fertilizer nutrients gradually.
Steam is introduced into the conditioner, along with molasses, to enhance the binding strength of the pulverized cow dung, thereby effectively reducing the rate of pellet pulverization.
Energy Saving and Consumption Reduction
The granulator utilizes a gearbox transmission system to replace traditional belt drives; the gearbox features precision-ground gears, resulting in a shorter power transmission path and smooth, quiet operation. Additionally, the drying stage employs a low-temperature, high-airflow process, ensuring high thermal efficiency.
The PLC control system enables real-time monitoring of key parameters, ensuring that the equipment consistently operates within the optimal energy consumption range.
Eco-Friendly and Green
We adopt a closed-loop conveying system throughout the entire workflow from pulverizing to packaging to greatly reduce dust spillage. We also equip the drying and cooling stages with a two-stage treatment system consisting of pulse dust removal and a spray tower to ensure clean exhaust gas discharge.
The entire production line complies with environmental regulations, enabling customers to easily pass environmental acceptance inspections.

Main Components of
Pellet Mill
Cow dung pellet making machine is mainly composed of three main parts: feeder, mixing unit and main pelletizing. The following is a brief introduction to the main components of the pellet maker.
feeder
Variable-Frequency
Cow manure features high fiber content. After fermentation, the material remains fluffy, and long fibers are prone to tangling. The feeding system is engineered with a pre-crushing function integrated into the arch-breaking feeder, delivering continuous agitation to prevent fiber tangling and blockage. Equipped with a forced feeder, it uniformly conveys fibrous materials into the pelleting chamber to guarantee smooth feeding operation.
Mixing Unit
High-Quality Stainless Steel
Carbon sources such as straw shall be blended into cow manure prior to fermentation to adjust the carbon-nitrogen ratio. The mixing unit adopts a heavy-duty ribbon blender with enhanced shearing and blending capacity, perfectly engineered to process high-fiber wet raw materials. A liquid dosing system allows simultaneous addition of microbial liquid or water, preparing optimally mixed material for the subsequent pelleting process.
Granulation Main Unit
Intelligent and Efficient
Fibers in cattle manure cause severe wear on ring dies. The pelleting main unit is fitted with high-compression-ratio ring dies, with an inner diameter up to 762 mm and a maximum main motor power of 250 kW. Innovative multi-design of the ring die effectively avoids cracking and boosts overall throughput. It achieves a forming rate of no less than 98% and enables long-term stable processing of high-fiber cattle manure raw materials.

cow dung pellet Process Flow
RICHI cow dung pellet mills offer modular solutions from raw material receiving to finished product packaging. Below is the processing flow of their production line.
Fermentation
Cow dung and crop straw are mixed in specific proportions, and microbial inoculants are added to initiate fermentation. A compost turner periodically turns the material to facilitate the decomposition of organic matter.
Crushing
The vertical wet-material chain crusher, featuring a screenless design, is employed to pulverize materials, thereby preventing any long fibers potentially present within them from becoming entangled or causing blockages.
Mixing
Utilizing a belt scale batching system and a ribbon mixer, the fermented cow dung and inorganic nutrients are mixed in precise proportions.
Granulation
The FZLH series granulator for organic fertilizers features a ring-die and roller structure, achieving a molding rate of up to 98%.
Drying and Cooling
After granulation, the pellets enter a rotary dryer; a self-constructed hot air furnace can be utilized as the heat source. Following drying, they are cooled to room temperature using a counter-flow cooler.
Screening and Packaging
The cooled granules are classified by a vibrating screen, and the qualified granules proceed to the automatic packaging system.

Frequently Asked Questions
The following is a summary of frequently asked questions regarding configuration, installation, after-sales service, pricing, and complete plant setup, to help you quickly understand RICHI products.
Can organic fertilizer pellet mills produce both pellet fertilizer and powder fertilizer?
Yes, achievable by adjusting production workflow. For powdered organic fertilizer: Fermented and crushed materials bypass the pellet mill and directly enter screening and packaging, while the pellet mill can remain standby for pellet production. For pellet organic fertilizer: Activate the pellet mill; materials go through pelleting, drying, cooling and screening before final packaging.
What are the main differences between production lines for cattle manure and chicken manure pellets?
Cattle manure has a higher fiber content, necessitating stronger pulverizing capabilities and a ring die with an adjustable compression ratio. Furthermore, since the nitrogen content of cattle manure is lower than that of chicken manure, the carbon-to-nitrogen ratio must be appropriately adjusted during fermentation.
Do cow manure pellets require the addition of a binder?
Generally, this is not necessary. After fermentation, cattle manure naturally contains a certain amount of cellulose, which allows it to bind naturally under steam conditioning. However, if the proportion of straw in the raw materials is excessively high, a small amount of bentonite may be added.
Can the equipment simultaneously process manure from other types of livestock?
Yes. Our equipment is designed with versatility in mind and can process materials such as pig and sheep manure; it simply requires adjusting the fermentation cycle and the ring die compression ratio.
Core Equipment Configuration?
All equipment uses Siemens motors and SKF bearings; all parts in contact with materials are made of stainless steel.
Not satisfied with the price?
We recommend suitable models and processes based on customer needs, patiently answer questions, and provide multiple solutions for users to choose from.
