Our equipment is capable of processing a wide variety of feed ingredients, including high-quality hay (including legumes), corn silage, fresh-cut forage, corn, root crops (carrots, beets), by-products (brewers’ grains, soybean dregs), soybean meal, wheat bran, salt, baking soda, and others.
Particularly for lightweight materials—such as hay containing 20% leguminous forage—the equipment employs forced feeding technology, effectively resolving the issue of difficult feeding.

The equipment is suitable for various cattle breeds—including heifers, calves, breeding stock, beef cattle, dairy cattle, and show cattle—as well as their different growth stages.

Mixing Systems
Necessary and high-quality
Our mixing system offers three structural configurations—single-shaft paddle, dual-shaft paddle, and ribbon—and is equipped with top-mounted atomizing nozzles to facilitate the uniform addition of liquids such as oils and molasses. For formulations with a high proportion of forage, the machine ensures the thorough blending of forage and grains by adjusting the paddle speed and mixing duration, thereby providing a stable and uniform mixture for the subsequent pelletizing process.

High-Quality Stainless Steel
The unit casing features an embossed 304 stainless steel design, while the interior houses a heavy-duty, extended conditioning chamber equipped with forged blades. Furthermore, a 1-to-3-layer conditioner can be flexibly selected based on the specific characteristics of the raw materials, thereby effectively enhancing the degree of material conditioning and the overall pelletizing performance(Ruminants such as cattle require a single-layer conditioner).
Granulation Main Unit
Intelligent and Efficient
Equipped with a high-efficiency Siemens motor, the unit features an intelligent power regulation system. The ring die and pressure rollers are constructed from stainless steel and 42CrMo alloy, designed to minimize wear and tear. Furthermore, the machine is fitted with safety protection mechanisms that automatically cut off power in the event of abnormal operating conditions, thereby ensuring the safe and secure operation of the equipment.

RICHI cattle feed pellet mills offer modular solutions from raw material receiving to finished product packaging. Below is the processing flow of their production line.
Receiving and Cleaning
It separates impurities and ferrous contaminants from the raw materials while simultaneously utilizing a dust removal system to extract dust, ensure explosion safety, and recover fine powders—thereby guaranteeing the purity of the raw materials, protecting downstream equipment, and minimizing waste.
Crushing
Pulverize the cleaned raw materials (including forage) to a particle size suitable for bovine rumination (typically greater than 2 mm, though for older cattle, this may be reduced to less than 1 mm), and select a specialized pulverizer based on whether the raw materials contain forage.
Mixing
Based on the proportion of forage specified in the feed formula, it selects an appropriate mixer to carry out the blending process.
Granulation
For feed containing grass meal intended for ruminants, a forced feeder must be installed to ensure pelletizing quality.
Cooling and Screening
The hot, moist granules (80–90°C) produced after granulation must be cooled in a counter-flow cooler, then classified using a screening machine to remove fines.
Packaging and Transportation
Materials in the finished product warehouse can be bagged using automatic packaging machines or transported away by bulk trucks; throughout the entire production line, the handling of raw materials and finished products is accomplished by conveying equipment such as scraper conveyors and elevators.

What role does the conditioner play in the cattle feed production process?
The main function of a conditioning machine is to heat and condition the material before pelleting, so that the material fully absorbs heat, moisture and liquid, so that the starch paste, to achieve or close to the requirements of the pelleting process.
What can replace corn in cattle feed?
You can use any energy feed to replace corn in cattle feed! Many companies these days use molasses instead of corn, because sugarcane molasses is also a good fit for cows and other ruminants.· However, it’s best not to replace corn at all—not even partly—since other energy feeds just don’t work as well as corn.
How to feed dairy cows with alfalfa?
When you feed fresh alfalfa to dairy cows, chop it up first, then mix it with wheat straw, corn stalks, or other similar feeds. For dried alfalfa, you can also chop it and mix it with roughage like wheat straw and corn stalks before feeding. Alfalfa should make up about 15-20% of all the roughage you give to the cows.
Can cattle feed pellet mill handle feed with hay meal?
Yes. Machine comes with a special forced feeder and a longer conditioner. This allows it to work well even with recipes that have a lot of hay meal.Our South African customer uses 50% hay meal in their feed – and it works great.
