feed pellet mill
One Machine, Endless Feed Solutions
RICHI feed pellet mills can produce pelleted feed for chickens, pigs, cattle, and other livestock and poultry. Depending on the species being raised and the characteristics of the raw materials, feed pellet mills are mainly used in the following four areas:

Poultry Feed
With robust feedstock processing capability and flexible custom-engineered design, our mills efficiently produce premium pellets or mash feed in multiple sizes. The finished feed enhances palatability, eliminates selective feeding behavior, and increases nutrient digestibility and absorption in poultry.

Ruminant Feed
Ruminants demand specific feed hardness, fiber content, and nutritional composition. To meet these requirements, our machines integrate forced feeders and conditioners. Even lightweight materials like grass meal can be stably processed into high-quality pellets.

Livestock Feed
Designed for the omnivorous nature and stage-specific nutritional needs, our pellet mills allow flexible adjustment of pellet diameter and hardness. They process a wide range of feedstocks including grains, meat and vegetable residues, promoting voluntary feed intake and healthy weight gain.

hay pellet
Hay has high fiber content and low bulk density, making it prone to clogging. Our pellet mill is equipped with an arch-breaking feeder and a forced feeder, along with a high-torque motor, which can stably compress forage pellets. An optional conditioner can also be used to soften the fibers.

Poultry Feed Pellet Production Line
Our standard poultry feed pellet line comes with a steam conditioner—this bad boy cranks up starch gelatinization and kills germs like a pro! From grinding, batching, and mixing to pelleting, cooling, screening, and packaging, it covers every step of the process. The end result? Tasty, nutritionally balanced complete pellet feed!
Core gear : SZLH Series
Ingredients : Corn, premix

Livestock Feed Pellet Production Line
This production line is equipped with a multi-layer conditioner. Saturated steam is introduced to fully cook materials, effectively improving feed digestibility and achieving sterilization. The ring die compression ratio is adjustable according to livestock species and growth stages. We recommend a ratio of 1:6 to 8 for medium and large pig feed, and around 1:5 for piglet feed.
Core gear : SZLH Series
Ingredients : Soybean meal

Ruminant Feed Pellet Production Line
This production line is designed for the high proportion of hay powder in raw materials. It adopts a ribbon mixer and a hay pulverizer, and is equipped with an arch-breaking feeder to ensure that materials with large differences in specific gravity can be mixed and pelleted evenly. It is suitable for the production of complete pelleted feeds that are a mixture of hay and grain.
Core gear : MZLH&CZLH
Ingredients : Straw, alfalfa

Hay Pellet Production Line
This production line uses a special hay crusher, equipped with a forced feeding mechanism and a pneumatic conveying system. It can efficiently process loose, bundled or lumpy hay, and is especially suitable for processing lightweight, high-fiber, and high-moisture grasses. It is applicable to ruminant animal breeding and biomass energy fields.
Core gear : CZLH Series
Ingredients : Grasses

Frequently Asked Questions
The following is a summary of frequently asked questions regarding configuration, installation, after-sales service, pricing, and complete plant setup, to help you quickly understand RICHI products.
What role does the conditioner play in the feed production process?
The main function of a conditioning machine is to heat and condition the material before pelleting, so that the material fully absorbs heat, moisture and liquid, so that the starch paste, to achieve or close to the requirements of the pelleting process.
What can replace corn in cattle feed?
Any energy feed can substitute for corn. Many joint ventures now use molasses as a replacement, as it is highly suitable for ruminants. However, full or partial replacement is not recommended, since alternative feeds deliver inferior feeding performance compared to corn.
Can pellet size be adjusted?
Yes. Pellet size is flexibly adjustable between 1–12 mm by changing ring die holes and adjusting the cutter position.Recommended sizes: Calf: 5–6 mm, Finishing cattle: 6–7 mm, Dairy cow: 6–8 mm, Young chicks: 1.5 mm or meal, Grower chicks: 2.5–3.0 mm, Broilers: 3.5–4 mm, Duck/Goose: 3–5 mm.
What are the core components? How is quality ensured?
Key components feature Siemens motors and SKF bearings. All product-contact parts, including feeder, conditioner, and ring die, are 304 stainless steel. The ring die undergoes vacuum heat treatment; rollers are made of 42CrMo alloy steel. The control cabinet supports independent operation, enabling isolated shutdown for maintenance without disrupting the full line.
What equipment is included in a feed production line?
A typical line consists of mixer, pellet mill, cooler, screener, and packaging system: Mixer. Ensures uniform blending of raw materials. Pellet mill: Compresses mixed feed into dense pellets. Cooler: Reduces pellet temperature for durability. Screener: Removes fines and grades pellets by size. Packaging system: Weighs and packages finished pellets for distribution. Together, these units produce high-quality feed.
What is the minimum requirement to start a commercial animal feed production project with RICHI?
We only focus on large-scale farming animal feed projects and commercial feed production projects. If you are looking for a small machine to produce your own animal feed at home, we are not the right choice – we would rather tell you upfront to save your time. Our configuration include small-scale equipment for crushing, mixing, granulating, etc. If you are unsure of your specific requirements, just send us your basic requirements. We will give you a direct response.
