Frequently Asked Questions
Building an aquafeed mill involves raw materials, equipment, process, and budget. Here are the questions customers ask most often.
I have fish meal, soybean meal, corn, and some local oilseed meals. Can I use all of them?
Yes, you can. Generally, aquafeed production lines are highly tolerant of raw materials. As long as grinding fineness and freshness meet standards, they work. However, oilseed meals have higher fiber content. Just adjust the formula ratios appropriately.
Can I produce both floating and sinking feeds with the same equipment?
Yes. So by adjusting extrusion parameters (pressure, temperature, moisture, etc.), one line can quickly switch between floating and sinking feeds.
Why is ultrafine grinding necessary for shrimp feed?
Shrimp have short digestive tracts. If particles are not fine enough, absorption is poor. Thus ultrafine grinding to 80-100 mesh or higher improves feed utilization. It also increases pellet water stability.
What level of automation can the production line achieve?
It depends on your budget. For instance, a basic line can achieve automatic control of batching, mixing, pelleting, and packaging. In contrast, the high-end line includes a control system. Then the whole line needs only 4-6 operators.
I have limited plant space. Can the equipment layout be compact?
Yes. Actually, RICHI has cases with limited plant space. For example, we use modular design, vertical layout, and shared bins to save space. Send us your plant dimensions. We will provide drawings.
What if equipment breaks down? How does your after-sales service work?
The whole machine has a one-year warranty. Also, we keep overseas parts warehouses. Common parts ship quickly. Then our engineers can provide remote video guidance. If that can’t solve the issue, we go to the site.
