Wood Materials
Primary raw materials include logs, branches and wood chips. Featuring high bulk density and compact fiber structure, wood-based materials produce pellets with high calorific value and remain the mainstream feedstock in the global biomass pellet market.


Crop Straw Materials
Agricultural residues such as corn stalks, wheat straw and rice straw are lightweight, bulky with long fibers and high toughness, requiring primary crushing prior to pelleting. Stalk pelleting effectively curbs air pollution caused by open-air burning.


Rice Husk Materials
As a by-product of rice processing, rice husk features low raw material cost and acts as a vital supplementary feedstock for regional biofuel production. Pre-treatment or blending with wood meal and stalk powder is commonly required before pelleting.


Alfalfa Materials
Our equipment can process alfalfa, oat grass, and other high-protein, high-fiber forage raw materials into high-density pellets, which can be used as high-quality biomass fuel or as high-nutrition feed pellets for ruminants.

Wood Pellet Production Line
The pellet mill adopts a 6-8 grade high torque motor, which is suitable for pressing high fiber materials. The entire production line includes processes such as chipping, crushing, drying, pelleting, cooling, screening, and packaging. It can efficiently utilize forestry waste and process high fiber and low moisture wood raw materials into clean fuel with high calorific value and low pollution.

Straw Pellet Production Line
The straw pellet production line includes a complete set of equipment for processing crop straw into biomass combustion pellets or ruminant feed pellets. The pelleting section uses a straw-specific crusher and a drum dryer. The heat source can be a biomass burner or gas. It is suitable for straw raw materials with high moisture content and strong fiber.

Are wood pellet mills and stalk pellet mills interchangeable?
They can be used interchangeably in general scenarios, yet with significant output discrepancies. Due to distinct physical properties, dedicated stalk/forage pellet mills (CZLH Series) deliver 50%-100% higher output than wood pellet mills (MZLH Series) under the same power rating. We strongly recommend selecting a dedicated model according to your primary raw material for optimal return on investment.
Ring dies are vulnerable wearing parts. How do you guarantee their service life?
Our ring dies are manufactured with internationally advanced processing technology and precision machining equipment, adopting premium 42CrMo alloy steel and strict vacuum heat treatment. This significantly enhances hardness, wear resistance and fatigue strength. Meanwhile, customized ring die compression ratios are designed for different raw materials such as wood and stalks to maximize service life.
What safety protection features are equipped on the machine?
The equipment is equipped with a multi-level safety protection system. The feed inlet is equipped with an iron removal device to prevent metal debris from entering; the main drive has overload protection, automatically cutting off power and alarming in case of abnormal overcurrent. The electrical control cabinet uses star-delta starting to reduce motor starting impact. All maintenance doors are equipped with safety limit switches to comprehensively ensure operator safety.
Can wet wood chips be directly used for pelleting?
Direct pelleting is not feasible. Raw materials with moisture content above 50% must be processed via a drying system to reduce moisture to the optimal range of 15%–18%. Excessive moisture acts as a lubricant, preventing effective extrusion inside the ring die and resulting in extremely low output or even no pellet discharge. A rotary drum dryer is mandatory if your raw materials are high in moisture.
What is the overall height of the full production line?
The standard fully automatic production line has a designed overall height of around 12 meters. For factories with height limitations, we recommend a semi-automatic production line solution. This design separates crushing, drying and pelleting sections with material stockpile transfer, greatly lowering height requirements and fully adapting to 6-meter factory ceilings. The only trade-off is slight additional manual material handling.
What is the minimum requirement to start a commercial animal feed production project with RICHI?
We only focus on large-scale farming animal feed projects and commercial feed production projects. If you are looking for a small machine to produce your own animal feed at home, we are not the right choice – we would rather tell you upfront to save your time.Our configuration include small-scale equipment for crushing, mixing, granulating, etc. If you are unsure of your specific requirements, just send us your basic requirements.
