Aquatic Feed Extruder
Full-range Application
Aquafeed extruders are the cornerstone of modern aquafeed processing, widely utilized in the production of fish feed, shrimp feed, pet food, and raw material extrusion applications.

Freshwater & Marine Fish Feed
Our extruders are suitable for freshwater and marine fish such as grass carp, carp and grouper. They can produce floating, slow-sinking and sinking feeds to match feeding habits of fish at different water depths, cutting feed waste and maximizing aquaculture profits.

Shrimp & Crab Feed
Traditionally, shrimp feed is produced by pellet mills. As demand for better palatability rises, high-end producers adopt extruders to make slow-sinking feed. Extruders are now gaining growing market share in the shrimp feed industry.

Pet Food Production
Suitable for manufacturing complete feed lines for dogs, cats, hamsters, and all other pets. We offer custom-engineered solutions for pellet shape, size, and nutritional composition to meet the specific taste and digestive requirements of different animals.

Raw Material Puffing
Used for the gelatinization and extrusion processing of raw materials including corn, soybeans and wheat, improving digestibility and safety. Extruded raw materials can be used as feed bases, pet food ingredients, or raw materials for the food industry.
Versatile
All-Scenario Use
Whether it’s floating feed that tilapia and salmon love to eat, sinking small-particle feed specially designed for shrimp, or cute-shaped dog and cat food, the RICHI extruder can handle it all with ease.
Aquatic feed extruders of various production scales
RICHI’s extrusion equipment portfolio includes three main categories: raw material extrusion systems, single-screw extruders, and twin-screw extrusion systems.

Aquatic extruders Production line solution
Extruded feed is rapidly replacing traditional hard pellets, becoming the “new favorite” in the aquatic and pet food markets. RICHI extruders achieve a cooking rate of over 90%, stable operation, and quick die changes, helping you seize the high-end feed market.

Fish Feed Extrusion Production Line
We offer a full range of extrusion equipment, from single-screw to twin-screw extruders. The entire production line covers crushing, batching, extrusion, drying, cooling, screening, and packaging processes. The production process combines high degree of maturation with low energy consumption, making it an ideal choice for upgrading traditional hard pellet feed.
Core gear : DSP & SPHS
Ingredients : Fishmeal, Oils

Shrimp Extrusion Pellet Production Line
Tailored for shrimp’s benthic habits, slow feeding rate and delicate digestive systems, as well as the need for feed to stay submerged long-term, the extruder on this line is fitted with a twin-shaft differential conditioner for thorough material conditioning. The finished shrimp feed features excellent sinkability and firm texture, remaining intact after prolonged soaking. It is well suited for feeding all freshwater and marine shrimp species.
Core gear : SPHS Series
Application : Shrimp, Crayfish

Pet Extruded Feed Production Line
Designed exclusively for pet feed production, the extrusion section adopts fully intermeshing, zero-clearance twin-screw extruders, compatible with floating, semi-floating and sinking feed formulas. Equipped with a drum coating system, it precisely applies heat-sensitive ingredients such as oils and vitamins. This line produces high-nutrition pellet feeds in various shapes and flavors.
Core geart : SPHS Series
Ingredients : Grains, Vitamins

Raw Material Extrusion Production Line
The extrusion section can adopt either dry or wet extruders. This versatile machine supports multiple applications. By simply replacing a few components, it can process grain materials under high temperature and pressure to produce expanded soybeans, extruded corn, flaked creep feed for piglets and other feed ingredients, effectively cutting down operational costs.
Core gear : RCYP Series
Ingredients : Corn, Soybeans

Frequently Asked Questions
The following is a summary of frequently asked questions regarding configuration, installation, after-sales service, pricing, and complete plant setup, to help you quickly understand RICHI products.
What is the difference between dry and wet extruders? How do I choose?
Dry extruders lack a conditioner, relying on friction and electric heating for heat. Wet extruders are equipped with a steam conditioner, offering higher output and lower power consumption per ton compared to dry extruders of the same power, but require additional boiler investment and a larger footprint. Recommendation: If you are a beginner or only doing small-batch production and local steam availability is limited, dry extrusion is sufficient for starting out. If you plan for long-term commercial production and prioritize high quality, we recommend choosing wet extrusion directly.
Does the high extrusion temperature destroy heat-sensitive ingredients such as vitamins and enzymes?
Yes, the high temperatures inside the extruder can easily damage heat-sensitive substances. Therefore, the industry generally adopts a post-coating process: after the granules are dried but before they cool, the heat-sensitive components are dissolved in oil or water and atomized and sprayed onto the surface of the granules, taking advantage of their warm and porous state. For highly sensitive materials, a cold spraying process can also be added after cooling.
Why can’t I use a screw conveyor for extruded pellets? What should I use instead?
Extruded granules have a loose, porous structure. If a screw conveyor is used, the agitation and compression of the screw blades will crush the granules, producing a large amount of powder and broken material. Simultaneously, the powder entering the water will rapidly pollute the water. You can choose Z-type bucket elevators and belt conveyors as alternatives.
Should I choose a pellet mill or an extruder for shrimp feed production?
Currently, the domestic shrimp feed is mostly produced using pellet mills due to their low cost and high output, making them suitable for ordinary pond aquaculture. However, high-end, export-grade, and shrimp larvae-specific feeds primarily utilize twin-screw extruders. The rapid replacement of traditional pellet milling equipment by extrusion production lines has become a mainstream trend in industry upgrading.
What are the advantages of twin-screw extruders over traditional single-screw floating extruders?
Twin-screw extruders are high-performance machines capable of producing both floating and sinking feeds. They feature two intermeshing, co-rotating screws inside the barrel, with a complex structure and high precision. Compared to traditional single-screw floating extruders, they offer superior shearing and mixing capabilities, enabling efficient processing of high-fat, high-moisture, high-fiber, and low-starch formulations.
What is the minimum requirement to start a commercial animal feed production project with RICHI?
We only focus on large-scale farming animal feed projects and commercial feed production projects. If you are looking for a small machine to produce your own animal feed at home, we are not the right choice – we would rather tell you upfront to save your time. Our configuration include small-scale equipment for crushing, mixing, granulating, etc. If you are unsure of your specific requirements, just send us your basic requirements. We will give you a direct response.
